Episodic glimpses into each universe are filled with moments of joy, contemplation, and innovation.

O.Z. Sanders (she/they) is a mixed Black/white painter and illustrator whose narrative pieces follow complex and determined protagonists as they navigate environments together with sentient, autonomous nature and technology, thriving in collaboration with their beloved planet. The viewer is surrounded by rich landscapes, architecture, and a haven of imagination. Episodic glimpses into each universe are filled with moments of joy, contemplation, and innovation.

Born in DC, Sanders received a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and an MFA in the Illustration Practice Program at the Maryland Institute College of Art. When not drawing space nebulas, Sanders enjoys tending to their ever-growing number of house plants, and outdoor adventures with her wonderful partner, dog Pickle, and cat Otter.
